1. IBPS PO
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either - (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. - Age: Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years
- Educational Qualifications: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

IBPS PO Mains – Descriptive Test
The descriptive paper will be of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks assigned to the test of English Language. You will be tested on Letter Writing & Essay. You will be needed to secure passing marks to qualify the Descriptive Test, to be decided by the Bank.
NOTE: The Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in Objective Test.
IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2017 – Interview
- The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination and Interview.
- A candidate should qualify both in the CWE (Main) and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.
2. IBPS Clerk

Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager)
Information Technology Officer Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc. Experience of one year (in the relevant field)
Chartered Accountant Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Experience of one Year as a Chartered Accountant.
Law Officer Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience of two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of not less than two years.
Treasury Manager Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/ institution. Experience of one Year (in the relevant field).
Marketing Officer MBA in Marketing from a recognized university. Experience of one Year (in the relevant field).
Agricultural Officer Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience of two Years (in the relevant field).
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. - Age: Between 20 and 28 years.
- Educational Qualifications: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.

- After clearing the sectional & overall cut off you will be called for Phase II Exam i.e. Mains.

- If you get sufficiently high rank, you will be called for Phase III Exam i.e. Interviews
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
- There will be sectional cut-offs as well as the total cut-off.
- Final Merit List will be based on marks obtained in Mains and Interview.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWD applicants 55%) in aggregate or Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWD applicants 50%) in aggregate from a recognized university.

- This exam carries 200 marks.
- You will appear for Phase II of RBI Grade B exam only after you clear the Phase I or the Prelims exams.
- The Phase II or Mains exam will be carried out in either 1 or 2 days.

- You will have to select any 1 subject out of the 3, as per post preference and eligibility.
- This exam will also be taken Online.
